Technology Trends You Must Know in 2023!

Every year, technology and business trends will always change. This is inseparable from the emergence of new technology and changes in people's needs. Various companies to the media also predict trends in the future.

However, these predictions are not necessarily entirely relevant. Predicted technology could become a new trend years later. For example, the term metaverse technology has existed since 1992 but was only popularized by the Meta company in 2021.

In the near future we will welcome the new year 2023. Are you curious what technology will be the trend later? Here are the technology trends that will be popular in 2023!

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

The trend of artificial intelligence AI technology has been popular lately. You can find AI in various fields. In fact, every time we open the internet, AI uses an algorithm that can make search results according to what we want.

Of course, this advanced technology will continue to develop over time. Google CEO Sundar Pichai mentioned AI as a technology that will have a major impact on human civilization. In fact, according to Sundar, AI will have a more significant impact compared to electrical energy or fire.

One of the interesting uses of artificial intelligence to watch is artificial AI content. AI has the creative ability to generate images, sounds, or even create new works such as writing songs.

AI algorithms and programming languages enable these technologies to understand and replicate human languages and ways of communicating. One example of its application is Tom Cruise's deep fake replication using AI technology which went viral. In 2023, this technology is predicted to grow rapidly in the entertainment and business fields.

Metaverse

In simple terms, the metaverse is an immersive virtual world. This technology is widely touted as the future of the internet.

This is also supported by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Mark said VR and AR will be a key enabler for the future of the metaverse as immersive virtual environments.

However, other companies have a different opinion. Web3 platform creators such as Decentraland and The Sandbox say the metaverse technology trend will be towards decentralization and blockchain. In fact, both of them have long been building decentralized virtual worlds and using blockchain technology for transactions.

Since becoming popular in 2021, various companies have competed to bring their business into the metaverse. The strategy of each company is of course different. Most rely on existing platforms like Decentraland to fit into the metaverse.

Some companies are also trying to jump in by building their own virtual world. One of them is Telkom Indonesia, which has a metaverse platform called metaNesia . Users can carry out various activities such as watching concerts, buying digital assets, and chatting like in the real world on Telkom's platform.

In 2023 it is predicted that this technology will begin to be entered by small companies and organizations. Of course, companies that have been involved in it will begin to integrate to create cohesive services and products.

The Metaverse and AI will indeed become technology trends in the future. Especially with the emergence of many new innovations related to these two technologies. Have you ever used AI or entered the metaverse?
